Now with HTLC interception users could announce a channel to then reject every / most HTLC based on some metric. This would be a huge disservice to the network, i.e., to everybody who tries to route through them.
We should strongly clarify in the docs that this is discouraged and that rejecting HTLCs over announced channels is really contradictory - if you announce a channel it holds the semantics of "will be 24/7 online for routing payments".
Apart from that, I do wonder if we should allow users to unilaterally disable their side of an announced channel to signal that no HTLCs will be routed in a direction?
